Module 8: Figure mitotic Ca2+ transient



Spontaneous Ca2+ transients precede nuclear envelope breakdown at the first mitosis of the developing mouse embryo.

The numbers identify gaps in the recording when the four photographs were taken. Note that the nuclear envelope has disappeared in photograph 3 at the peak of the Ca2+ transient.
